NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2024
pascal@taraindia.org

Dear Friends,

On behalf of all of us at TARA in New Delhi and in France, we would like to wish you a wonderful New Year.

We hope that you enjoyed the festive season with your family and loved ones.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your unwavering support. Your continued involvement, whether in the form of moral support, volunteering or financial donations, enables us to ensure the continuity and development of our programs. It makes all the difference, everyday, to the 160 children and young adults that TARA serves.

However, as you know, the continuation of these projects also requires transparency:

Since the COVID pandemic, it has become harder for NGOs to raise funds. It is no different at TARA. We are struggling to meet the targets we had set for the beginning of the year.

If you would like to make a donation that will have a significant impact not only on the lives of the young people under our protection, but also on an entire educational and social environment, now is the time to do so.

In December, Capucine, one of our former volunteers who has travelled to Delhi several times, shared her story of what TARA means to her. It is a story of how, intimidated by India on her first visit, she eventually fell under its spell.

You can read her story here, and if you're curious about what life was like there for her, she'll be happy to answer your questions!

During the festivities, Capucine and her family welcomed Shyamu, one of TARA's oldest residents. Today, Shyamu has made incredible progress in his studies. He recently  spent a semester in France as part of an exchange program. This is a touching  example of what TARA represents – connecting two distant countries.

New Year's reunion of TARA's children and team

Satya Oblette visited TARA to talk about water conservation.

Satya Oblette, a French model and video artist of Indian origin and a long-time friend of TARA, has embarked on a 15 months world tour our to highlight water-related issues. He discussed these issues with the children at TARA. A video will soon be available on his channel.

TARA Homes have admitted 4 new children in the past 3 months.
Help us guarantee their future!
